The aviators of V.S. Grizodubova Kharkiv Flying Club conducted excursion for the finalists of the IX International TV Festival "Dytiatko" to the museum of aviation equipment, located in the open air, in Korotych. Before the beginning of the excursion, the children were divided into three groups to have a look at all the airplanes and helicopters one by one. It should be noted that in the museum of the flying club there are both exhibits that still fly and airplanes haven't been used for years now.

One of the museum guides noted that the non-metallic coating of airplane wings must be changed every 5-7 years, otherwise they will face the fate of the museum exhibits, which will never rise in the sky again. The oldest exhibit of the museum is the A2 airplane, which was bought by a foreigner, but the owner could never transport it to Alaska because of certain difficulties with the conclusion of paper permission to fly. Therefore, the airplane remains the pearl of the museum, unfortunately, in a state of neglect.

The Aviator also noted that an airplane need 120 liters of gasoline to sustain a full flight.

During the excursion, the children were briefly told the story of each of the forty types of aviation equipment presented in the museum, gave an idea of the purpose for which this or that aircraft or helicopter is used. Most of all children were interested in questions about jumping with a parachute.

An exciting air show was waiting for the children at the end of the excursion.

The flying club was founded in 1925. In 1996 it began to bear the name of V.S. Grizodubova.
